Fernand Payraud longe le chemin de sa créativité, passant du figuratif à l’abstrait, jonglant avec ombre et lumière.
Le noir de ses fonds pourrait laisser à penser à d’obscures résurgences de l’esprit, la luminosité de ses éclats colorés nous place devant une évidence complexe.
L’artiste explore, allonge ses verticalités, sort d’oeuvres aux reflets abyssaux, des touches de lumière. Libre à chacun d’interpréter l’image ainsi figée sur verre, d’ouvrir la porte de ses songes, pour certains sensuelle, pour d’autres ésotérique, ou musicale, nulle limite à ce vagabondage de l’âme, nulle indifférence. Il semble parfois que Fernand ait eu l’idée de scruter la genèse au microscope, ici naissent l’infiniment grand, l’infiniment petit, l’image explose de mille façons, délivrant ses couleurs, laissant entrapercevoir la maîtrise du peintre. Car maîtrise il y a, penser un tableau à l’envers, imaginer son rendu en négatif afin de le sublimer en positif, d’y apposer avec dextérité ses couleurs vibrantes.
Désormais, ses transparences se libèrent ; "écrins de lumière", dalles éclairant un sol, habillant un mur, rythmant une pièce de vie, elles illuminent également le mobilier ou parent les douches de reflets rêvés.
A man known for his generosity; known for the passion born in childhood. Recognized by his peers, named Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters in 2006, Fernand Payraud continues his creative path, passing from the figurative to the abstract, juggling with shadow and light.
The black backgrounds imagine the emergence of the spirit from obscurity, the luminosity of his colours place us in a complex world. The artist explores, with long vertical lines, the type of work that reflects the abyss, with flashes of light. Each is free to interpret the image set in glass, to open the door to their dreams, for some sensual, for others esoteric, or musical, with no limit to the vagabond nature of the soul, indifference is impossible. It sometimes seems as if Fernand examines our very genesis through a microscope, where the infinitely large is born, the infinitely small, the image explodes into a thousand pieces, delivering its colours, allowing us to appreciate the mastery of the painter. Think of a reversed image, imagine his work as a negative in order to fall into the positive; where the vibrant colours have been placed by the dexterity of a master.
His glasswork are illuminating; “shards of light”, cast on a floor, shadows on a wall, filling a room with light, lighting furniture or filling a shower with dreamy light.
